The aim of this department is to provide state of the art services for continuous evolution increasing requirements of the patients as per their clinical condition The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics is headed by experienced Dieticians working coherently in providing specialized therapeutic well balanced diet to the patients. The experienced and trained team offers services like daily visits by dietician and diet planning of meals etc. to the inpatients.The department also offers services like daily OPD, diet counselling , diet plans and antenatal Diet planning to the outpatients. The department also carries out regular diet lectures and camps with the goal to spread awareness about Dietetics and Nutrition by promoting nutrition as an integral part of disease treatment and prevention .
The department offers the following services:-
→ We do deep analysis of the existing medical condition of the patient(both IN and OUT patient) and thereby recommends appropriate dietary intake for accelerating recovery and controlling the metabolic parameters as required, depending upon the clinical condition of the patient. This is done through elaborate counseling at primary stages, followed by suggestive dietary procedures and scheduled follow ups.
→ The experienced team offers services like daily visits, diet planning of meals, dispatching hygienically prepared and nutritionally adequate diet to the patients in heated trolleys, supervised dually by the Dieticians and Catering Department.
→ Dietician assesses the nutritional needs of all the patients and then formulates individualized diet plans taking into considerations the biochemical parameters in order to maintain individual health. Special emphasis is laid on therapeutic diets in order to treat different disease / metabolic disorders etc.
→ The hospital has a centralized kitchen service system. The kitchen provides disease specific diet to all categories of patients like suites, deluxe rooms, nursing home, semi nursing home, semi paying, general wards, and day care & dialysis patients.
→ Standardization and assurance of food and dietary service is maintained and updated from time to time.
