A performance driven professional with nearly 47 years experience in Surgery (General Surgery & Plastic Surgery) Hospital administration, Teaching and team management. An aluminums of Armed Force Medical College, Pune passed MBBS in October 1975, served the Armed Force for nearly 39 years rising to the rank of Surgeon Vice Admiral (Lt. Gen. Eqiv) gained extensive experience in managing Medial Education, Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Paramedical Education while working at different levels from Professor, Dean Academics, Principal & Director of large teaching hospitals, additional director general & finally as Director General Hospital Services for the Armed Forces. He has also been Honorary Surgeon to the President of India during his tenure as DGHS to the Armed Forces. He is a life member of various professional bodies like Association of Surgeon of India, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, National Burn Association, Indian Society for Peripheral nerve injuries, Marine Medicine Society of India. He has been on the editorial board of several Medical journals and has also headed the Armed Force Medial Research Committee.
