Our department of nephrology is a well equipped unit with a dedicated team of skilled consultants and paramedical staff which offers patient the advantages of a multidisciplinary approach.Common diseases such a diabetes, hypertension and chronic glomerulo-nephritis can lead to permanent loss of renal functions resulting to dialysis and renal transplantation
Our Nephrology & Dialysis Services Department integrates advanced equipment and medical expertise to provide care and treatments pertaining to general nephrology, dialysis and kidney transplants. The aim of the department is to provide optimum and accurate treatment services to facilitate wellness to all the patients.
Our nephrologists guide the patient on the importance of preventive medicine. Common diseases like diabetes and hypertension are an epidemic in our society. Sadly they are often neglected, leading to the complication of renal disease.

State-of-the-art facilities for renal pathology, with complete biochemical, immunological, microbiological and histological (including immunoflorescence and immuno-histo-chemistry) - back up available under one roof. .Dialysis: unit provides maintenance haemodialysis facilities to the patients of chronic renal failure.
2 DIALYSIS UNIT : Our Dialysis unit is well equipped with latest computerized dialysis machine, state of art, reverse osmosis water plant to provide pure and trace element free water supply. The unit is running day and night to provide best possible treatment to the renal patients with the full supportive care by trained dialysis technician and staff.
Other than haemodialysis the facility for bedside Peritoneal dialysis and Continuous ambulatory dialysis (CAPD) is also provided.

→ Facility for continuous monitoring of sick patient on dialysis through highly sophisticated monitors throughout the dialytic procedure is available.
→ separate units for Hepatitis B & C positive patients.
→ Heat-clean disinfection of haemodialysis machines after every shift is practiced for patient safety.
→ Regular dialysis facilities are available in the centre from 7.00 AM to 12 midnight, besides emergency dialysis round the clock.
→ haemodialyses are performed by highly trained technical and nursing staff under supervision of dialysis medical officers under the overall supervision and guidance of consultants round the clock is available.

Plasmapheresis & Plasma Exchange
These facilities of Plasmapheresis & Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) are available for renal and non-renal patients such as LGB syndrome and myasthenia gravis.
Chronic Peritoneal Dialysis/Automated Peritoneal Dialysis: provide continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) for patients of CRF, who are otherwise not suitable for kidney transplant or maintenance haemodialysis. CAPD is also suitable for patients who are living in far flung areas where facility of haemodialysis is not available. We have the largest number of patients having been initiated and surviving on CAPD in the country. Our centre has one of the largest series of patients on automated peritoneal dialysis.
Vascular Access for Haemodialysis
This centre has been pioneer in making A.V. Fistula and A.V. Shunts for use in haemodialysis.
7 Continuing Medical Education
Nephrology and integrated department is regularly involved in CME. We are actively involved in regular public awareness camps that focus on DM, HT and detection of CKD in early stages.
24 hours casualty services are available. All patients are seen by a senior resident on duty and admitted if needed. A consultant supervises all these services round the clock.
